The Zionist Central Council of Manchester was set up by Israel’s first President, Chaim Weizmann whilst he was a professor at Manchester University.
He found, in the Manchester Jewish Community a group of dedicated individuals, committed to the establishment of the Home for the Jewish People in the Land that is now Israel.
