ZCC Life Vice President, Raymond Solomon has devoted many years to campaigning the Co Op not to boycott Israel and is considered a leading expert on this case.
The Co Op was born in Manchester and has well established left wing ideals which ironically have always been very popular amongst the Manchester Jewish community. Sadly the Co Op has fallen victim to the idea that Israel is a puppet of the Imperialist West and is its self a colonialist state bent on expanding its domain over other countries in the region exemplified by its war mongering and occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
Over recent years Raymond has had a number of high level meetings with executives at the Co Op where he has explained what Israeli really stands for. Whilst he has not yet managed to persuade the Co Op to take at least a more neutral view of Israel he does believe this is possible.
Raymond calls on all friends of Israel to support his regular campaigns which include demonstrating outside the Co Op Head Office in Manchester, correspondence campaigns and signing petitions he sends into the Co Op.
